- Browse courses using the course search in my.harvard. Be sure to check out course syllabi. Keep track of classes that interest you. Do their associated concentrations cluster in meaningful ways (by subject matter, division, etc.)?
- Learn about individual concentrations by reviewing The 49 – A Guide to Harvard Academics book that you received on Move-In Day, and by perusing the 49 Website. (Students who didn't receive the 49 book can pick one up at the Advising Programs Office, located on the 4th floor of the Smith Campus Center, or view it online on the 49 Website.)
- Use this four-year plan to create tentative plans of study for any concentrations you may be interested in, and discuss them with advisers. Mark your calendars, and try to attend the Fortnight events of as many concentrations as you’re interested in.
- Read the Advising Fortnight booklet (PDF link to the left) and think about how you can best take advantage of concentration advising opportunities during Fortnight.
